Just a short practice video. This was the last volley of a really poor shooting session. I'm going to try a different bow because I wasn't happy with the results of shooting such a short bow without a lot more practice.

    Hey Chris,
The wife has had some health issues and all her Dr appointments have been on my day off. I haven't set foot in the woods yet. I still have about 2 weeks left to get out there though.

I hope your wife feels better soon.

I've been out twice. First morning was ruined by a trespasser. 2nd time out some birds were gobbling across the property line so I did some calling and waited. After a half hour I saw movement, it was a large bird but coloration looked to light brown. She was a huge hen, one of the largest I've seen in quite awhile. I felt good that she looked things over real hard but never picked me out. Waited a couple more hours but nothing else showed up.

We have a record crop of ticks this year.. Be prepared .

Wherever the Marine Corps sends me...

Rob, not sure you can do it but Monday and Tuesday (3rd and 4th) we are hunting with the Wounded Warriors. If you are interested let me know - I am really excited to assist them hunting.

I'm 0-5 with the turkey on Quantico missed one today because I am a dumb a$$ and got turkey fever (I am gun hunting... I'll go back to the bow for deer). Worked the damn bird for over 2 hours and got impatient when I finally had him in, took too long a shot - walked it off at 60 yards, swear it was not more then 40... I am still pissed. He was about a 6" beard and was gobbling his damn head off the entire time.

Would have been my first ever turkey. Tomorrow!

    Sean
