What are some mixes that will attract/hold more turkey along with deer? I was thinking about a chicory/clover mix for spring. What other plants will benefit the Turkey?
They hammer my buckwheat (planted alone). They will also take advantage of Wheat and Rye both fall planted as well as a spot for nesting in the spring greenup (if you don't mow it down). I kept my fall planted rye tall this past season and waited until June to mow. It was 5.5+ ft in spots. Turkeys were nesting and in and out of that plot a lot.
