So I haven't been out since last post. Just too sore and too cold in the mornings. Well A. J. Was just going crazy and hubby starts yelling get down here! A.J. is just wild now running around house barking. Look out the window and there in full strutting is a Tom turkey spinning around beard dragging at the end of the drive way..lol! First tom I've seen in weeks. He drops strutting and slowly walks across the street down our other drive headed toward the turkey and chicken coop. . Looks like I may go out a little later to see if he's still around, hens must all be sitting now, temps are mid 30's this morning Coffee first
So I'm in a blind. Kicked up a young buck.in gully then 50 yards later a turkey.He promptly few over ridge down hill. OK, I circled around to.get to stand over ridge to find he did not la d on ground but in the trees 70 yrds away and managed to see .e yi g farther down hill..lol Continued to blind and here I sit a few calls of excited hen. Think I heard a bit of response but no gobble.
I can see where birds have been in this area scratching recently just not sure when. They may have switch roost area to where he first landed just below ridge. Will hit this stand in the morning
First spring in....well I can't honestly remember when, I didn't use a single tag.. I have to laugh I went to garden this morning to a turkey running away from my ground blind. Many times the alarm got turned off. Even with a month of meds I'm still beyond uncomfortable. Ok I'm just plain ole in pain. Now have developed hard masses in the palm of my right hand. I expected this in the left due to partial pink amputation years ago. The stretching of tendons and trauma would cause this. Both hands are now weak. Brain fog is also not good. Yesterday I left the house with water running. It's wonder the wells nort dry WTH!!!! I actually went back to house but door was shut and locked. So assumed I must have checked before closing the door. Not! Finding myself just staring at things completely blank. F ticks! Just took my last pill. Starting tonight I can start healing my gut. A month of bacteria killing drugs I need to get my biom regenerated and healed. Hoping this will correct a bunch of things going on right now. Wish me luck and may the toms be around this fall.
