I hunt a Benelli Super Black eagle II and was wondering what success/failures yall have had with other choke tubes for turkey hunting and what shells yall prefer.

I like the three-inch Winchester shells in the black box. I can't remember the name, but I've killed three birds with them and they put out a good pattern from my 870.

My choke tube is just a Remington turkey choke.

I think you are thinking of the Winchester supremes. We use those too and they always kill turkey's with no problem. I also use a H.S strut undertaker full choke. It patterns really good out of my 870.

I'm pretty sure SBE II's have a slightly smaller bore dia. than say Remington or Winchester shotguns.
Depending on how much $$ you want to spend, you could stick with factory chokes or go aftermarket. I've heard good things from the Hevi-shot choke tubes using………you guessed it, Hevishot. Your patterns will have more pellets if you stick with the #7 shot. Don't be concerned about the small size, they will kill turkeys at ranges longer than you should shoot.

If you really want to get serious, you could contact Sumtoy Customs and get one of their chokes. Tell the owner what gun you have and what shell you'd like to shoot and he'll set you up with a great choke.

I use one myself in a semi-custom Rem.11-87, but I also load my own turkey shot shells so my shell is specific to my gun/choke combination. Two great turkey websites to check out are oldgobbler.com and gobblernation.com

I bought the Hevi shot choke for my Berretta AL 391 and love it!! I shoot Winchester #6 Supremes and have killed two birds with since I bought the choke. One at 25 yards and one at 45 yards! I have only had it 2 seasons.

I spent a pretty good amount of $$$ patterning my 870 a few years ago. The bore diameter may be different on your gun, but my gun performed best with an Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike and 3.5" Hevi 13 2.25oz #6's. I was consistently putting 190-210 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards with this setup and the gun has killed multiple birds between 40-62 yards.

The best factory turkey load is going to be hevi shot. Its heavier than lead for the same size pellet and patterns tighter than lead so it will increase your range. If you are a handloader, the BEST pellet for a turkey load is going to be TSS. Incredible pattern density and pellet energy at RIDICULOUS ranges. The down side is its expensive, $50 a pound so you're looking at $5-6 a shell minimum.
As far as chokes, you'll have to experiment with a few till you find the one that works best for your gun and load. Try Carlson or Trulock. Tell them what gun and load and they'll point you in the right direction. They both will work with you letting you shoot a choke until you find the one that works in your gun/load.

I can't say much more about shells than what has already been said. I use Hevi 13 #7's out of my gun.

As far as chokes, you have a lot of options. Right now I shoot a Pure Gold .670 with my Mossberg 535. I have had great patterns with an Indian Creek .660, but they are a pain to clean. Sumtoy customs is a great company and they will work with you to get you exactly what you want out of your choke for whatever specific shell you want to shoot.

In a 10" circle at 40 yards shooting the Hevi 13 3.5" #7's, my gun will put around 280 hits with the Indian Creek. I think the Pure Gold put up a more even pattern, but the pellet count was a little less.

Undertaker Xfull choke and winchester supreme 3.5" #5's out of my browning maxus seem to be the combo that work best for me. I spent a good amount of time and $$$ to settle on this combo.
