Are you guys strictly bow? Or do you get out with the shotgun at all?

I shoot all my birds with the bow but I am thinking of shooting one with a crossbow this year since this is the first year we can shoot them with a crossbow for us NJ guys.

Both, but when I do use a shotgun it is a double barrel BP Pedersoli.

I would love to use the bow but since our season in Wisconsin is only 5 days I will stick to the gun for now.

If I had a longer season like fall season is than I would use the bow.

I've tried both from time to time. Usually it's been the shot gun. Turkey hunting is challenging for me regardless of gun or bow.

I do both. I have one property that I'm only allowed to bowhunt so I use the bow exclusively there. Turkeys are hard enough for me with the shotgun so adding the bow makes for extra fun.

I'm shotgun only. I love the smell of gun powder in the morning. :)

That's a fact...Us Wisconsin guys get ______ by the DNR. I started out with a gun now I'm all bow with turkeys. It does make it tough though with only 5 days.

Mostly shotgun but if I kill one next weekend ill take the bow the rest of the season. We can only kill 2 per year here.

I do both. I've got two permits this year, one being my landowner permit that allows me to hunt all of the seasons. I'll be using that one for my bow. I've also got another permit that's only good for the 3rd season, which will be when I'm using my shotgun.

Both but I'd just as soon have someone out in front of me or beside me doing the shooting with either. I've killed enough turkeys in my life and don't need to kill another one but I just love to go, don't miss a day if I can help it. I'd go every single day with someone else being the shooter. I just love this #^&!

This pretty sums up my thoughts too. Except I have the first season of which I'll probably only hunt 2 days, both being with shotgun.

I take the shotgun out myself. I have a old single shot 20 gauge that my father bought for me years ago. It is still a virgin when it comes to kill a big game animal.. I'm looking forward to smoking a big ole Tom with it in late April!

In the past it was both

This year it will be strictly bow. My dad and I are going for the grand slam using only archery equipment (he finished his GS last year with a shotgun). Four years, one different species a year
