I’ve got a new 2012 Martin Prowler Pro
    62#
    29” draw
28 ½” 340 spine carbon arrows about 404gr total weight

I have used the modified French tuning system so that it is cutting strings at both 4 and 12 yards with awesome groups. However, when I shoot it through paper at 3 yards it’s about ½” tail left. When I fix that my French tune is off. Any ideas? I’m new to this tuning thing. My old bow was over 20 year old. I’m just trying to learn as much as I can. Please help.
    Thanks

Your arrow may be slighty stiff but you should be able to get rid of the tear with a couple twist in the yoke system. Use even twist, half in the right, half out of the left.

Tfox, what you have written looks like English... hehehe I'm kidding, I've done a little reading on yoke tuning but not a whole lot. It sounds like something I might need a bow press for yes? Do you know of a good (by good I mean reputable) instructional video or website that might help me. Any other info would be appreciated. And thanks for the reply.

Yes,you need a bow press. I haven't seen much printed. Nuts and bolts(on archery talk) has posted some stuff on bareshaft tuning by twisting the yokes. Basically the same concept.
