So I got a new bow and I’m fairly new to archery, but completely new. I set it all up the arrow is perfect for the center shot and everything is ligned up. When I look down the bow for arrow aligning with limb bolts and stabilizer it’s all center. Levels are all good everything looks perfect. So when I go to paper tune it’s way off. By the time I get a perfect paper tune and moving rest around I look down the bow at the alignment of the arrow in the center of the limbs bolts and stabilizer it’s wayyyy left. Is this normal? Never seen this before. Usually when it’s all center and the center shot is good I’ve always had good paper tuning.
I understood. Nope cams aren’t leaning. So it papers tunes great at 4 and 5 feet with center shot found by levels and stings down front, with smaller cut arrow in rest and nocked. but anything further and it’s off on the paper tune.
It’s tuned. It paper tunes at 4 and 5 feet but not 8. Took it outside hit dead center 29 times so I guess it’s all good. It’s a diamond bow. I’d have to go back out to the garage and take the measurements. I found center shot by taping string at center of both limb bolts down front, cut an arrow to knock and ligned back string, arrow and front string up. Checked it with levels and all was good. I guess it doesn’t paper tune at 8 feet or more but only at 4 and 5 feet. An expert I talked to just now said this is possible.
You'd be better off getting the centershot measurement from the manufacturer specs. Most bows are 13/16 from Berger hole to center of the arrow on the rest. That will be more accurate then eyeball or any other measurements. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Also, it could easily be a weak or stiff spine tripping you up. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Could be your grip form. When at full draw try looking up at the string and see if its coming off the top cam straight. If its angled to the left you need to adjust your grip. Straighten it out. If its centershot and arrow spine is good as well as timing and what not then it should tear perfect. Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
