Just pulled pse sinister from box and began to shoot, my arrows are entering target at an angle I'm using the factory hand release?
you can try paper tuning. all that is, is moving your arrow rest to the left or right, depending on how it hits. so if you go onto youtube, and search up ikesoutdoors paper tuning, and that should help you fix the problem.
You know littlefat, it would help if you had an actual question and a bit more information. Are you asking how to tune? Are you saying it is out of tune and it could be your factory hand release?
It's rare that a bow is good to go for you right out of the box, go to a pro shop have them help you paper tune it. Shouldn't cost much $$$. The archery shop here in town helped me tune mine, he handed me an allen wrench told me which way to push my rest then ended up not charging me b/c he said I did it all.
Could be using a bad nocking point causing your arrows to fly wrong as well but definitely try paper tuning... good luck
The sinister is a lot of bow in a very small package. it is not very forging. I would practice with it A LOT get comfortable because unless you are comfortable with shooting it paper tuning wont do anything but piss off the bow tech. Paper tuning will help with centering your shot placement and getting flat arrow flight but if you have piss poor form paper tuning will not fix that. Making sure your arrows are spined for that bow is also key. Cam lean and wheel lean are factory set and so is the tiller so there are no measurement adjustments to make unless the pounds and DL have been adjusted. then you need to re measure and make sure it is squared away. Factory Release? PSE does not make a Release.
Instead of guessing at this (which many of the suggestions will be), click the link in my signature and save it (first). Second, do you know that this bow is setup for you? Did you purchase it from a proshop who fitted you, or online? Third, if your answer is no to the second question (and you're new to this), find a proshop who will get you fitted, and at least you will have a starting point. If you want, post what your DL (draw length), draw weight, arrow weight, arrow make/model, and arrow spine. That will help as well. That being said, the material and type of target can cause arrows to appear to be entering at an angle when in fact it's the material. My Morrell Field range bag when new would cause the arrows to appear to be entering a little bit at an angle (but not much). Most likely, this isn't the case for you, and it is in fact a tuning issue. We need more information before recommendations can be made, and ideally, a proshop should be fitting you to the bow and getting you started with setup.
Get your rest centered. You hang a weight on the end of a string to make sure it's plumb.Shoot an arrow at 20 yds, then "walk back" to 30 yds and shoot the same 20 yd spot with your 20 yd pin. Then walk back to 40 yds and do the same.Your arrows will make a pattern down the string like this \ or this / or if your lucky they will line up parallel to the string. Move your rest in small amounts left or right until they line up on the string.Once your arrows hit in the same vertical plane adjust the sight windage so the arrows will center the string. Get this done then we can go from there.
Set the rest to 13/16 from inside of shelf, then first step is ensuring there is no contact. Use spray footpowder or lipstick. Then you can move on to the above walk back tune. You can use a carpenter level to draw a vertical line on the target with a marker instead of a plum line. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
This is not a good way to papertune. The rest should be set to centershot by walk back or french tune and not touched again. Then if there is a tear, you address the spine or torque issues. Once those are taken care of, then you can adjust the yoke system to remove any left over tear. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
