Hi Folks. Just got a new PSE X-Force Axe 7 on the weekend. I'm getting a consistant low left nock tear about 1 1/2 ''. Did all the usual stuff like raising nock point, tightening or loosening limbs opposite, centershot . Seems like no matter what, I get the same tear. Haven't had it in a press yet. Arrows are Easton Epic .300 spine,28'' long. Octane Tripwire rest(plenty of clearance).
Bow is set at 70 lb. Has anyone out there had experience tuning one of these models???

First, You didn't say whether or not you ensured that there is no fletching contact with the rest or cables. I suspect this is the cause of the nock low issue if you've tried moving the nock point without effect.

Second, A .300 spine 28" shaft is going to be overspined for 125 grain heads at 70 lbs. You're going to need to add about 50 - 100 grains to the front of that arrow. I'm shooting 29" 300 spine arrows at 72 lbs. with 225 grains (125 head, 100 insert) up front and they're still on the stiff side.

According to the Easton chart, I wanted to err on the stiff side. I have also put some
.340 spine arrows with 2 other rests to the test and there is that low left tear. One rest was a drop-away(G5 Expert 2) the other was a old Golden Premier with the lizard tongue . The timing marks are lined up with the cable. Just wondering if anyone has had to twist a cable on these bows to get it to paper tune. This is my first experience with this cam system

I think if I were you, I'd SCRAP paper-tuning all together and just shoot the bow. Zero one pin, at 20-25yds, then do a walk-back tune, get the rest centered, and got to BH tuning. If you get weak spine reaction or stiff spine reaction BH tuning, I think it's a little better indication. Paper-tuning relies far too much on the perfection of the release IMO, and I won't "waste" my time with it.

The .300 may be a little stiff, but I've had far better luck tuning a bow with an arrow that's "too stiff" than I've ever had trying to tune a bow to an arrow that is weak spined. I've BH tuned more than a handful of 60# bows(IBO rated between 305-320) with .320-.340 spined arrow and put BH's with FP's out to 40yds, so this wouldn't be too far from the same basic idea.
