I have a friend that was given a left handed pse (I don't know the model, I"ll find out), anyway its a single cam. When I went to help him tune it, I noticed some things were out of whack! 1st there was no cable slide on the rod, 2nd the cable (split yoke) and bow string are on the left side of the cable rod and they are completely worn out (several strands are broken), and 3rd I don't know where the cable and string are supposted to cross (below rod or above rod). The first thing I'm have him do is buy a new string, cable and cable slide. After that I don't know where to begin. I'm pretty sure the string and cable are supposed to be on the right side of the cable rod, but from there I'm lost. Any ideas where to cross the cable/string and which one goes in the front or rear slot, and longer or shorter slot. Anything will help, I'm trying to get him ready for the season.
Most of the time the will cross below the cable slide. But the cable should be in the slot closest to the riser. To make sure though just follow the way the string and cable run on the bow.. The string and cable shouldn't be rubbing against one another. Also make sure you get that thing in time or else tuning will be a pain in the butt. Paper tune to be sure hope this helps. Good luck and have fun
I thought the crossing should go below the rod, but everything else I have no idea where to go cause I think the last person that worked on it took it apart and just put it back together any which way. I did find out its a PSE spyder if that helps.
