I am buying me first commercial trail cam in over 4 years. After building my own for the past couple of years, I have decided to buy a Covert. Just got off the phone with Tom at Monster Raxx, and am trying to decide between the Red 40, and an MP6. I am really leaning towards the Red 40. Anyone want to chime in with opinions?
Wellhow much are they? The red 40 is about as much as I want to spend. I have always said I would never own a IR cam, but the pics I have seen from the red 40 are amazing. Actually the pics from the MP6 are pretty dang good too.
They are about $50 more than the red 40. They are basically the same cam except one has 60 black leds and the other has 40 red leds. The MP6 has 28 leds. I have all 3 cams the black 60 is a true black flash and bad to the bone,12 AA with fast trigger speed and detection range.The red 40 has red flash but the same basic range and speeds of the black 60. The mp6 has 8AA with more of a blue white ir flash a little smaller in size but just as capable as the brother cams. I found the 60 online for 199 and the 40 for 150 and picked up a mp6 last week for 115. I hope to add two more black 60 in the next month and purge some of my old cams from my inventory.
