Greetings! Any of you "Fletching" experts, want to help a guy, out?? I would like to try fletching my arrows with vanes to see if there is any accuracy differences. I have used feathers on my arrows for over 30 yrs., with no problems. Yeah, I know, if not broken, don't fix it. However, I want to experiment... I will be using, Easton FMJ's/400 - with a 30" arrow, 28 1/2 draw length - 125 gr., fixed magnus stingers and/or bear razor heads. Vanes will be flex-fletch, SK300 (3") Bow is @ 50 lb... Would this be a recommended way to fletch my arrows?? I have a Bitz' jig and a Bohning tower jig... With the Bitz' I would use the RW clamp. Would that be enough helical?? Or should I use the tower jig, with 3* helical?? I use these vanes (SK300) on my x-bow arrows (straight-offset fletched) and it is very accurate... Thanks and God bless, J. :deer:

I considered those, but was not sure if they were good for larger, fixed blade, BH...

Peterson bowhunting just did a write up on fletching, hands down go with the helical.
