Look...Trump's not the most articulate man in the world, but the gist of his comment was to ban the entry of non-citizens from Muslim-majority country of origin until we have a proper vetting system. He has detailed that sentiment many times over since the original comment. If you're too dense to figure that out I cannot help you.

This is what he said and I agree with it, plain and simple. He didn't say ban all Muslims. He said what a lot of people are thinking and it's just like anything else. The media hears what they want and runs with it. I truly don't know the answer but I also am from just 10 mins south of Chattanooga. Yes the same place that got shot up by one of those wack jobs where I drive at least twice a week. I don't hate Muslims and think people like the planned parenthood shooter are just as bad but someone needs to draw a line in the sand with all the Syrian immigrants and whatnot because it's only gonna take one to come in here and do the same thing again. Until then, I keep my .45 on my side and pray I don't have to use it but with people in charge like our potus it's not gonna be too much longer until I can't legally do that. Not like it would stop me. God bless America. Whoever you choose that God to be. Drops the mic....

I heard him talk today. I'm not trying to argue but I understand how American citizens are worried.

 

I would shut down all immigration until our borders are secure then any that want to apply to come in can apply, not going to let just anybody in if a person has nothing to offer skill wise they are not getting in.

they better prove their skills not just lie about it. some of those immigrants are isis radicals that are heavily trained how to lie and manipulate our system. no vetting can screen what is in their heart. dont forget how few guys wiped out thousands on 911. they had skills. they were trained pilots. i dont trust any of them. and as a business owner myself i will not hire any one of that origin. take me to jail for being racist i dont care. when im in a store and one of them walk in i quickly walk out. sorry but im erring on the side of caution.

This is my view on this whole ban on any and all immigration. What exactly can the immigration system do differently that is going to have any kind of impact? Unless an applicant has video of himself 24/7 for the last 10 years to prove he isn't affiliated with ISIS - how will the authorities know? How possibly can they know this guy spent 2 nights a week studying and learning from ISIS. Truth is they can't.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, many (if not most) of these domestic ISIS terrorists have been radicalized since they have been here. No immigration scrutiny would have detected this, San Bernadeno is a prime example of that. Sure there are some things immigration officials can do in the short term, such as better detection of fraudulent passports, but the unfortunate reality is it's a drop in the bucket.

My opinion is the resources are better spent monitoring online communication from here and the middle east - these people do send messages back and forth, visit various ISIS websites, etc.

Wild idea here, how about we just shut down internet access out of the middle east? I'm being serious - or maybe we should just partner with Anonymous.

Crazy how people just feed into everything they state in the media (especially beck, rush, and Hannity). It's like people are brainwashed and believe anything they say.

I challenge you to listen to any other program that is not for extreme conservatives for a week straight and then tell me your thoughts.

I listen to plenty of non "extreme conservative" programming every day. Michael Medved, Michael Gallagher, Dennis Prager. None of those guys are conservative enough for me but all are thoughtful pragmatic guys who have good guests and promote the good exchange of ideas. Are Rush, Hannity, and Beck bombastic? Sure...but it doesn't mean they are wrong.

If you think that the basic sentiment behind TC's rant isn't factually correct, you are dead wrong. Since Ted Kennedy's 1965 immigration act, nearly 70 million immigrants have flooded this country. And that's the legal ones. Take a wild guess how they vote? The VAST majority of these immigrants are low skilled, low education individuals. How's that working out for you blue collar and union guys? Construction wages up? No. Manufacturing job accessibility and wages up? No. Black unemployment up? Yup.

Meanwhile, the unions, big business, and the democrat party have entered into an unholy trinity where unions promote immigration as a way to increase their memberships, dems push it for a permanent underclass who vote slavishly to keep getting they guvment handouts, and Big Business gets to keep labor costs low and profit margins high.

Point blank- we are no longer a nation of makers. We are a nation of takers. And we import more by the millions every year.

Thanks for helping my point. People need to listen to other sources of information other than the "bombastic" Rush, Hannity, and Beck. No one said they were wrong, but I'm not saying they are right either.

More information = Broader view of the situation at hand. At least in my eyes.

 

I beg to differ, being open minded to liberal jibber jabber is what turned so many into politically correct, entitled pansies. Take the raids in France for example, they started raiding your average Muslim mosques and found jihad propaganda related to multiple terrorist factions and firearms/ammunition. What has to happen before people finally say "enough!"? I'm well past "enough" and it frightens me that so many still want to continue being open minded to these barbarians.

EDIT: I also want to point out that last night on the local news, they talked about ISIS having stolen passport machines and blank passports. Try to tell me how taking in thousands of refugees and a stolen passport machine in the hands of ISIS is safe or close-minded.
