I agree. Both sides want to fix a problem with little consideration of efficacy or unintended consequences. "We MUST do SOMETHING" is an attitude that surfaces after a tragedy that can lead to poor decision making.
I pray I would have the courage to enter. Our county trains all officers to engage the threat in a school shooting, at all costs. This is the only instance of our training where the preservation of our own lives lies below that of anyone else. The kids lives are more important. That is how we train. To move in and kill the threat. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Now they're saying 4 officers total stood outside while shooting was goin on. https://nypost.com/2018/02/23/four-sheriffs-deputies-hid-during-florida-school-shooting/ One maybe you cant muster the courage to do anything, but if this is the case and there was 4 total that's getting pathetic that they didn't intervene or make an attempt. I hear you JRK. That is terrible. Even more terrible...we have school shooters. Our society is that messed up where we have people enter into schools and shoot and kill little kids. This is so disheartening I don't even know what to say.
I used to walk to most schools I attended. Took public transportation to others. Only ever had one problem. Had a friend of mine in middle school who was getting bullied by a local gang. He brought a loaded .38 caliber handgun to school and showed us. None of us ever said anything to anyone....thank goodness nothing ever happened. That was thirty years ago.
Me either, it's troubling how many times these things seem to happen. But this one more so because the more that is learned from investigation seems it didn't haveta be as bad or even happen. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
The sheriff needs to be removed. He's a joke, and a sanctimonious pile of horse puck. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/25/us/sheriff-parkland-shooting.html
