Thanks. I'm actually out shooting a gun now...water gun from my power washer. Washing my cars, drinking a beer....and listening to Tina Turner. Yeah....sue me I like Tina Turner. Lol Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
We've had a locked entrance for as long as I can remember, and we live in a VERY rural area. The way of the world, now. As a side note, I've been toying with getting out of education for a few years now, and while this issue isn't a determining factor, it's definitely something that weighs on my mind. I have a CC permit, but spend 90% of my day in an area where I can't even use it (can't even be in my truck in the parking lot).
Common sense woulda have been not needing a law making it mandatory the SS dept report ppl that receive benefits with a bad enough mental illness so they can't own firearms. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Listening to Trump try to converse with 16-18 year olds in his little photo op meeting with them is so cringe worthy is hard to watch. He can hardly form a sentence. Whoever told him this would be a good idea?
It was a little rough; and I'm a fan lol That is a blatantly false Democrat talking point- he overturned an Obamacare executive order that allowed the SSA to declare someone as being too mentally incompetent to own a gun for mild cognitive disabilities- the order was MUCH too broad and was going to be overturned in federal court. You act like he wanted to give machine guns to Mexican drug cartels or something...oh, wait. That was Obama.
Trump has been living with the rich and privileged his entire life. Richie Rich trying to talk to normal people. Probably should use a butler as the translator. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I can not imagine talking to high school kids now only being 4 years removed from it. The cartoon bubble of my thoughts would be much different that the words I say.
I'm also a little torn on the bump stock thing...I've played around with one, and they are retarded although admittedly a little fun. They serve no legit purpose but neither did my 67 396 Chevelle or my Wrangler on 35s. I don't need any of them but it doesn't mean me owning any of them are a threat to anyone else. But "needs" are not necessarily "rights"; nor is the converse necessarily true. That being said, bumpstocks certainly don't make a gun any more deadly. In fact less (as discussed ad nauseum in the Vegas thread.) As VS stated, AR-15 variants in the right (or wrong) hands are massively effective killing machines as-is with no additional mods. But so are trucks and household chemicals. One thing I would be whole-heartedly in favor of- raising the age requirement to buy any gun...with this caveat- raise the voting age to correspond also. If you're too immature to responsibly possess a gun, buy smokes or even a beer; then you sure as heck aren't mature enough to cast a vote that WILL potentially affect my life for the next 4+ years. (Military service exempt.) Further caveat- if you're still on you parents health insurance you're not an adult. Period. You are a dependent by definition.
Rubio talking to the kid who asked if he will keep NRA money out of his pocket... Yikes. This entire thing is just comical. Why are they talking to high school students who were 100% told what to ask/push as their agenda . https://twitter.com/cnnbrk/status/966507390899245056 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would also like to point out the fact that in 2016, Planned Parenthood killed approximately 360,000 more Americans than guns of any kind.
15 year old kids suffering from PTSD are not "normal" people. DJT is certainly not the lost eloquent person in most any setting but asking him to sit in front of 10s of millions of people while being cross examined by children who still have blood under their fingernails is a massive task for anyone. The entire time he had to be praying not to say the wrong thing or anything close to being up for Progressive's "interpretation" (meaning spin) By the way, I've seen him in person talking to regular people in informal settings...he's actually very coherent and relatable. Lastly- for the best thoughtful introspective I've seen on reaction to the shooting/potential gun legislation check out Tucker Carlson's opening monologue tonight (Thursday.) It was one of the most intellectually honest takes I've seen in major media to this point (as Tucker usually has.)
