Okay i have a new Truglo range rover coming in the mail. I just wondering if you are able to lock the slider in place to leave it at a certain distance say like 25 yards. Also when sighting it in do i start with the slider at the very bottom then work my way up?
Can anyone help me out? its not just about the truglo sight, also on how to sight in a single pin properly.
I have one...10 yrd pin is 1/3 the way up the yardage tape. I marked mine with a black marker at 20, 30 and 40 yds. You can lock it by tightening the 2 locknuts on the back of the slide, but the slide holds pretty solid without too much tightening.
I had a one pin, when I wanted to change the yardage I would loosen the screw the slide it up or down. And tighten the screw to lock it onto a certain range.
I should have my sight in by friday so i can look it over then i probably wont put it on and start sighting it in till the end of the season unless i tag a another doe for the freezer and possibly a buck. Im excited though to try a single pin sight out.
I bought one because the package said i could get more vertical range for longer shots. I took my seven pin oval pse sight off and set my lowest setting to 20 and could only muster about 80 yards. With my pse oval my lowest pin got me eighty five or so and the top of my level was around a hundred. I like the single pin for say off yardage shots but after a while i went back to the pse. Personally i like multi pins because i never have to adjust anything once they are set. I did however see MelissaBachman using a nice single pin with a large turn wheel on it and thought i would try that sight if i ever went to a single again. Ive got a Tru Glo Range Rover for sell if anyone wants it. its in almost brand new condition minus the little light(put it on my pse) I cant figure out the private message so if intrested pm me your email and we can work out something. Id take fourty plus shipping.
