You gotta check out this innovative idea--a broadhead extension. I laughed it off at first...till I tested it out. It really has its niche. Let me know your thoughts.

another good test of a product I would have otherwise ignored.

Pair that with a Trophy Taker A-TAC...hooo boy deadly.

Yeah, I thought the same...till I shot it. I’m on the stiff side as it is, but was pleasantly surprised with the flight. I’ve often times found spine charts to be inconsequential when it comes to high FOC set ups.

If you are already shooting 100gr inserts and your spine is OK with that; you could easily use these in lieu of the insert.
My only concern is I already shoot footers to help stiffen up the front end and that long of an aluminum ferrule kind of defeats that purpose. That first 2" of the arrow gets a lot of stress and not sure if a piece of slotted aluminum would hold up (like in your testing.) For deer I am sure it's fine but I'd be leery on hogs and bigger game.

Now if they made these in steel or titanium...I'd probably give them a go. Probably just have to buy replacement blades every couple animals taken.

I disagree. The spine will change based on the location of the additional weight of the insert.
This is face confirmed with ram tester. For example a 100 grain HIT in its proper location on a 28" shaft will test out different then a 100 outsert on the same length shaft. Same goes for length of point, a .5 inch 125 grain fP will be different the 2inch ling broadhead of the same weight. Negligible for most people's ability to see/shoot and tune, yes for sure. The same? No way. No way this doesn't change the dynamic spine of shaft.
