Yes and their britches tucked into the tops of their boots with their hats cocked half sideways.

I've seen it an the first time I did was at Myrtle Beach. It's pretty stupid if you ask me. It's almost about as bad as the truck nuts!

This makes me proud of the area I live in, still just a bunch of red necks with jacked up trucks and hugh Tires, we also have local mud bogs !! I have seen a few of the lowered back ends but several towns away, very repulsive!

What is the purpose of this? Is it just a fashion thing? What are they trying to emulate?

The only time a truck looks awesome with the back end squatted down, is a Trophy Truck under hard acceleration. 800+ horsepower and 36" of suspension travel at work. It is pretty amazing to do 100mph across desert terrain. After that, everything else seems tame.

I just actually looked it up for the first time. How ridiculous!! I think they should all have "spinners" just to add the icing to the cake.

Same as jacking your truck up to ridiculous levels. It's all stupid.

I agree for the most part, but raising the entire truck does have a purpose. Dropping the rear end doesn't, it just looks dumb.

    Leveling kit?

Pshhhh... just get some of those "bull balls" and hang 'em in front. That oughta do it.

(yet another ignorant trend that never caught on in Ohio, thank GOD!)

Totally agree. I personally wouldn't lift a truck more than 2" or so. But its worse IMO to have a raised front and lowered rear that's just a different kind of "special".

Sounds like the same people who "invented" pants hanging off their a$$es to show their underwear just had to add a little of their flair :dan: to their ride's too!! :bash:

Anything over a 6" lift is too much for me. I would love to have a cummins with a 6" lift and 35" tires

My cousin has a 00' f250 powerstroke done really nice with a 6" lift. He's got all kinds of extra after market stuff done to it and its nice but 6" is to much lift IMO. The absolute max I would go on a truck is 4". But my ideal truck (that I hope to have someday) is a Duramax with Allison trans and a solid 2" lift.

Here's a pic of my cousins truck. Idk if he's done anything else to it since we last talked. It kind of looks a little taller than before but it could be the camera angle. The thing I like about it most is he actually uses it as a truck and isn't afraid to beat it up. Unlike a lot of guys I know that have nice trucks and are afraid to use them for what they're actually for. This just happens to be a pic when he cleaned it up. Haha

I did some goggle searches on this stupid mess. I am ashamed to say they are calling it the Carolina Squat. Here are some fine examples I googled.

I live in the Foothills of NC and I've never seen a truck that was "squatted".

Without a doubt, one of the dumbest looking things I have ever seen done to a truck. Second, has to be putting big stacks on a pickup.

I love in The western part of Central NC and had not seen it until a Myrtle beach trip a few months back. First one I saw I really didn't pay attention to just thinking someone hadn't finished their weekend lifting project in time for the beach. Then I saw a lot more cruising the strip. Even a couple with neon lights and big stereo systems blasting rap music. Nothing wrong with rap. It just didn't seem right coming from that! Quite disturbing actually.
