Well that's not exactly true, I did have a shot at a spike w/ 8" curved spikes, but I've already sinned by shooting a button two weeks earlier and was holding out for a doe or a real buck. Ferg did have an opportunnity on a doe but the bottom he was in had swirling winds and she busted him. Tough propery to hunt on NW winds since the bedding is all along the south end, and it's a Nature preserve. Hope the wind changes for next weekend. RobPa, is a real class act. He is a great guy and I was glad to meet him and hunt with him, even if we didn't put one on the ground. He's hunting the rest of the week with an outfitter and I'm sure he'll get a nice one and break the Rob buck curse.
