Decided to go with the BFGs. The trail grapplers were almost $400 more and I decided I would also prefer to have better gas mpg as I will be driving a pretty good bit the next 4 years. Putting them on in the morning. Can't wait to find some mud and test them out!

    Looks great!

If you have gummy mud, be aware the treads won't throw it.

    Light mud, no sweat...

I keep chains handy in snowy conditions. (I also carry a hi-lift jack and a shovel... lol)

    Do you even get snow??

Have fun getting that shiny truck dirty! :D

Haha snow is a rare occurrence and it's even more rare when it actually sticks! Lol. Don't be fooled- my truck is only clean bc I got a free wash when I changed my oil. Haha!

I was looking at those tires last winter, but ended up going with Mastercraft AXT's in 275/75-18's for my Tundra. They have a more aggressive look then the Nitto's and alot deeper tread. They have held up good with little to no wear. They do ride like a ten ply tire would, but I like driving a truck, not a car....

    Really liking my Mastercraft AXT'S

Good compromise between street and off road. Cut water and mud well and they actually have a mileage warranty. Best of all they are not that expensive and ride smooth as silk with no road noise.

Not sure why yours are rough. Mine are silky smooth as well as most I know of.

    Maybe it's the truck.:p
    Mine are on a 2003 Z71

Mine are 16's which does have a little extra side wall ,that does help the ride.

The size I wanted only came in 10 ply, which is a pretty stiff sidewall. I like how they ride personally, but you can tell they're not those wimpy street tread. Lol

I'm not dissing the quality of a Toyota, just that on it's roughest day, a Tundra won't ride like a real truck. ;)

Before I had my HD, I had IH Scouts. One was a brush fire truck with beefed up suspension (to haul several hundred gallons of water).
It had tires with tractor type tread.
That sucker rode so rough I had to hold my boobs whenever I went over a bump. It would literally bounce stuff out of the bed. It was also REALLY, REALLY loud. My friends and i would have to yell at each to have a conversation. Hahaha.

    .....but it was cool looking.

It's the 10 ply causing the rough ride.

I got Copper STT's on my Tacoma. Absolutely love them. They ride smooth and quite on the road and I have yet to find a mud hole it can't get out of. They are really great tires.

It rides rougher then my HD did, but you can't compare today's trucks with the great trucks of yesteryears. No comparison on that. Had '84 Chevy that I put the rear leaf springs from the back of a 3/4 under the front end, overloads and all. It didn't flex much at all.

I have 10 ply 275/70/18 BFG AT TA's on my F-150. The ride is a bit stiff, but isn't really bad unless the roads are badly frost heaved. It does get a bit of bump steer though due to the stiffness but nothing unbearable. I tow the boat a fair bit and I have to say I like the way it feels with these better with a load behind me but compared the every day ride is a bit worse.
