Anyone having an issue with with Tru Fire Releasess???

my release is a tru fithere edge release. My issue was that my d loop would slide thru the calipers and would fire as I was pulling back. I punched myself in the mouth 2x. I messed around with set screw and it still would slid thru the calipers. Sent a message back to Feradyne outdoors (warranty dept). They are sending me a new one. With out me having to send it back to them.
So I pulled out my 2 nd (spare)release. Same release a edge release. This release now will not fire. The calipers will not open. ( the opposite issue as the last one). Now I have to contact the warranty dept again.

    china @&$! ???

looking at a cobra release now. Terrain.
Anyone else having issues with tru fire????

I have a Trufire, not sure which one but it is a dual caliper with fold-back capability. I've had no trouble with it, it must be a solid dozen years now since I bought it. I may have even bought it before Feradyne bought them out, which from what I read likely means it was built with higher quality.

But, it was just recently made into my backup release. I bought a B3 Hawk to try out. They are a bit different with the "forward trigger" design, I have to use quite a bit longer d-loop with it to be able to hit my usual face anchor point. I like it alright, but it does take a bit different setup to be able to hit my usual anchor point. I really like that it has travel adjustment, can really dial it in to break how you want.

If you want a new release that won't make you have to adjust your d-loop to work, I'd recommend staying away from a forward trigger design. But B3 makes some pretty decent stuff and the prices they have are about 25% less than something like the Spot Hogg. But the Spot Hogg has nothing but rave reviews, it sounds like it is a pretty great release.

Trufire is the only release I ever used. Years ago, I had that same exact issue with one. Without trying to mess with it, I just bought a new one. Problem solved.
