I am having problems with my anchor point with this release. I'm going crazy trying to figure it out! 3 or 4 shots I will have great anchor point and then cant find it next few shots. It just want feel right, then I might find it again a few shots then gone. I'm putting the knuckle of my hand (index) below my earlobe, always in the same place but sometimes can't see the sight good and sometimes I can. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! HELP!

How were the other releases you have used different than the one you are using?

Not sure what is going on with your anchor, but I have read that the Hardcore hook is rough on D-loops. I owned one briefly a few years ago, but it snapped me in the cheek from the way I anchored and it operated. Sold it soon after and then moved on to a hand held.

The hardcore is rough on cheap D loop material, not quality material.

Is your head position always correct? make sure your not leaning in to the bow some shots and pulling away other. Its should be straight, john dudley describes it really well, he also goes into overall posture which is helpful in maintaining anchor points and sight pictures

I'd check body position and your bow arm, sounds like something there is out of whack. Try video taping yourself and seeing where your form breaks down

How do they compare in length? Is the new one longer or shorter?

Not according to some folks on AT who have tried them with a variety of D-loop materials with the same issues. All I know is that I didn't keep the one I tried long enough for it to show even a hint of wear on my D-loop.

Well "they" say a lot of things I don't think that particular website adds any credibility. I have used the release for 4 years and have not had the fraying of the d loop.

Having a hard time finding the same anchor point sounds like you are to long. That release must be longer than your previous release.

It's about the same, the first one was a boa release.

I have at least 3000 shots on the same D-loop/bow using a Hardcore. ZERO issues.

Did you try adjusting the head length? It is as short as it goes now. Make it 1/4" longer then 1/2" longer and see if it helps. Easy to do and you can always go back to the same length.

I had one about three days to use as a gap between selling my Stan and getting my hands on a Spott Hogg Keeton.

Someone mentioned above about "snapping them in the cheek" and I had it do the same to me. Never could figure out exactly how it was happening. In the short period of time I had it, it put noticeable wear on my dloop as well.

Your anchor may not be a problem and you could very well be anchoring consistently time after time. I made sure I did and had erratic arrow flight. Your problem may be one of or both of the following. My hook didn't really get completely out of the way and I think it affected arrow flight. Also, the 30 deg head motion on mine only went the 15 deg in one direction. Mine wouldn't move both ways to get the full 30 and sometimes under tension wouldn't swivel at all.

I may have gotten a lemon but it was bad enough for me to take it back and not recommend it.

I was having the EXACT same problem when I bought my Hardcore Foldback. I then realized that I DID NOT tighten the set screw just above the fold back. You can see it at the bottom of the shaft to the left of your palm. It DOESN'T look like it has been tightened. It drove me crazy until I realized what it was. Once I got the trigger in a comfortable position, the problem went away. I have been use the Fold Back for 2 years now and it has NOT frayed my D Loop.
