Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting a finger release and putting my wrist strap release on the bench. I currently have a Fletchunter and it works great until you start adding clothing during the season, which of coarse changes anchor point comfort etc. My budget at the moment is limited but I was wondering if anyone has tried the Max Hunter 3 and/or the Max Hunter 4 by truball? Ive read some reviews about Max 4's screws coming loose, and I haven't read anything bad about the Max 3 but they seem to have different triggering designs. Your thoughts and reviews would be appreciated. Thanks.

i used the 4 for a season. its an ok thumb release but it was hard to get the trigger soft enough without it feeling weird but i eventually got used to it. i bought a spot hogg wise guy three finger this year and it is a much better release in my opinion and my groups have improved quite a bit.

The only reason I'm thinking truball is that I know a few people who use them and swear by them. I thought about trufire, I'm not sure if it's just loyalty on their part but they told me to stay clear. To me they look the same. I'll check out the spot hog, and see if it is in my budget?

I keep a T4 Max in my bag as my back-up release. Not a bad release for the money, I wish the thumb bar had more adjustment in it, but besides that I can’t complain too much about it.

Tru Ball makes good releases, but I'd also look into carter as well. I have fallen in love with my carter 3 finger and now am looking at getting a 4 finger as well. Solid company thats makes a solid release.

Im switching from a Scott Sabertooth wrist strap that ive used for years, to a Scott Exxus 3 finger for the reasons listed above. More comfortable, ease of use with coats on, and i also shot much better with a thumb trigger release. I hold steadier with better form.

Very happy with my purchase, this Exxus is awesome! Super comfortable and so crisp, very pleased with another great Scott product. 11/10 in my book! Groups like this are non-stop now with this release. I compared it to a Trufire Hardcore 4 finger but this one fit my hand better, i anchored better, and the trigger is fantastic.
