Troy, Out of curiosity, I know you were there in person. Since you weren't influence by hearing the commentators on the PPV, what were your thoughts on Machida/Shogun?
I wanted Machida to win because I hate Shogun. Shogun easily won that fight by decision and Machida at most won 1 round with 1 other being close. Bottom line Shogun should have won even though I wanted him to lose. Did not ask for my opinion but I'll give it anyway on this subject.
I, too, was rootin for Machida, but man Shogun whooped him. My buddy said the same thing but he said he watched the fight again and then thought Machida won the first 3 rounds. All I know is I gotta watch it again
My wife and both thought it was very close from where we were sitting, and watching it live made it tougher than watching it on TV with all the replay and slow motion as far as breaking down the score to score by round... I have no doubt though that Shogun could have got that decision, I really would like to see it on TV now..
