Hey guys, I am in the market for a new bow sight. I currently shoot a trophy ridge 4 pin joker sight, and I am looking at upgrading to another multi-pin sight. I found some awesome deals right now on amazon for the trophy ridge products with the react technology where it auto adjust your pins after your first two are set make it look pretty nice and was wondering how it worked as advertised with you guys?! I saw a thread on here for the IQ sights the other day and they have the "retina lock"....Is there that much of a difference in your shooting with the retina lock by looking at that 'DOT'? Just trying to hear from the guys that actually use either the trophy ridge's "react technology" or the IQ's retina lock.
I've owned the Trophy Ridge React 5 pin and it does as advertised, site your 20 and 30 and the other pins auto align. Only thing I didn't like about the sight is weight. It weighs a lot compared to other sights I've used. I haven't used a IQ sight so can't give you any review on it. Honestly, if you can afford it, get a Spot Hogg Hunter Hog-It. Sight was hands down best sight I've ever owned, left mine on my old bow when I sold it and have regretted it ever since.
I had an IQ. IMO - Junk made overseas. Before either I would use a Black Gold or Prohunter Green Monster -great sight, machined aluminum, bright pins & made in USA (WI) for $60-70
Check out their website, they have lots of models depending on what your looking for and how much money you want to spend. The Hunter Hog-It didn't have any technological features, just built like a tank and very well made. One feature I liked was the horizontal and vertical adjustments weren't lock down meaning you didn't have to tighten or loosen anything, just set it and forget it.
I'm new to archery and bought the IQ Ultra Lite 5 pin sight. I helps me keep my form correct. I just bought a Infinite Edge Pro bow a few weeks aga and bought the React H5 sight. The IQ Ultra Lite is 5.6oz and I couldn't find a weight listed for the H5. They are both excellent sights and both are easy to setup with the advantage going to the H5. Since you don't have to set up the green field and dot position like you have to do on the IQ sight. If I were going to hunt my personal preference would be to put the IQ on my hunting bow. But it you have been shooting a while you couldn't go wrong the the React sights either.
Thank you for the honest feedback. I've been shooting the cheap 4 pin by trophy ridge and haven't had a problem but I'm just looking at upgrading. Truly don't know if a more expensive sight makes you a better shot? Just wanted something a little nicer on the bow and that react technology seemed on point by it auto adjusting for you after your first 2 pins.
I think it’s like golf clubs or fishing reels. The expensive ones aren’t going to make you a pro but once you get the basics down the better sights are just so much nicer. I upgraded from a truglo (forget model) to a spot Hogg fast Eddie xl and whoa.....I could definitely recommend the spot Hogg but of the two you mentioned I’ve heard way more good about the trophy ridge Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
