I purchased a Revolution about 2 weeks ago from the basspro shop close to my house. It was nice looking with a
sweet idea. The problem with it is that for it to be a full containment you have to turn the rest, well the spring on the inside ( containment system) is not that strong so you must be very carefull when trying to set it. I never got mine to lock so I took it back to them and got my refund and was told that alot of the were coming back because 1) after a while ( a week or so) it loosens up so much when it opens there is a LOUD click from the spring inside
and 2) the containment system does not lock. It is a great idea but needs some work.

I've heard good things about this rest and the one I have used works fine. Are you sure it's the spring making the click noise? If you mount this rest at an angle instead of perpendicular to the string you could be getting fletching contact, which could be making that cracking noise you hear.

I had one put on a few weeks ago by an archery shop and I love it. I switched from a whisker biscuit and am happy with the switch.
