My wife bought me a new Mathews No Cam HTR for our anniversary and she had them put a Trophy Ridge React sight on it. I just wanted to mention what an incredibly easy and accurate sight it is. No tools required to set and once you set the 20 and 30, the 40, 50, and 60 are spot on. After getting the 20 and 30 set, my first shots from 40, 50 and 60 were all as advertised! Dead on. It really is a great design. The fiber optics collect a ton of light also. Give them a look if you are in the market for a new sight. Good hunting.
Had the exact same experience. So happy I spent the money on it and hopefully get to take my first animal with it out west in two weeks!
I like the sight but multi pins blur on me with my astigmatism. I went with the Clutch. Trophy Ridge has put out some high quality sights in the last few years. I've shot Spot Hogg and Armortech in the past because of their quality. Trophy Ridge has closed that gap considerably.
Will the react work with four fletchings? The reason I didn't get it was I didn't know if the poi is the same with three and four fletching.
I could be wrong but I don't think the fletchings are going to have anything to do with the trajectory of an arrow as long as there are fletchings to stabilize the arrow. I think the react tech has to have a certain arrow FPS or above to work properly though because of the mathematics involved.
The 4th vane will cause more drag, thus slowing the arrow and will result in loss of downrange trajectory. However, I would image that it will not affect the usage of this sight design. Just like a heavy helical causes more drag than a slight offset and it says nothing about that.
Thanks. I might pick one up instead of a truglo archers choice one pin. I wasn't sure on how much it would slow down the arrow at 50 and 60 yards so it made me hesitant.
I doubt it's significant enough to make it an issue, they come with several different tapes to accommodate different configurations so I'd imagine as long as the arrow is over the minimum FPS that they have it covered. Drop trajectory should still be consistent so it should still apply to their formula the sight is based on. However they are pricey, if I really wanted one and had any doubt, I'd probably call or email the company and ask directly.
I got the react pro and i also love the sight. The react technology is incredible and extremely accurate
