I just ordered a new Mathews Htx at 28.5 inch draw and 70#. I have everything picked out except for the sight. I'm between the Trophy Ridge React Pro 7 pin or the HHA Optimizer King Pin. I haven't used either so I'm looking for suggestions on which to go with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had a trophy ridge 5 pin now have a kingpin and love it. About the only way id go back to a fixed pin is to try something like the react trio where you have fixed pins with a singe pin ability for the farther shots. and even then it would take alot to not have the hha in the arsenal

I have TRs on both my bows and love them; granted I have the vertical pins. I have an HHA that is sitting in my parts box, used it for a couple weeks and liked it for what it was but am just not as much a fan of single pins.

Obviously I prefer the vertical pin(s) style either way. Just my preference to not have half my animal covered up by a horizontal pin stack.

I have been going back and forth on this for a few weeks now too, only I would want to get the 5 pin version. I have an Optimizer on right now and have had it for about 5 years. No complaints.

I was able to try a TR React and I was really surprised how much (to me) the target was now covered in pins. I wanted to get the React because I don't want to think about moving the pin on the HHA. However, this would really only be when I am practicing because I won't take more than 30 yard shot in the woods and right now, the HHA with my bow can cover from 0-27 yards without moving the sight.

I think what I want to do is move to the Kingpin. I want to practice longer distances and I don't want a cluttered up sight picture. Going to the Kingpin will give me an updated sight (something I want for my bow) but still leave me what I am familiar and most comfortable with.

You could go with the Trophy Ridge V (vertical) series. That way you get the best of both worlds.

That is true too. I have been able to see the King Pin, but I have not seen the React Vertical in person.
