I’m a little shocked that many do not take trophy pic with their doe kills. Why is that? They are worthy? Too easy to kill? (Not here)

So I’m curious. Do you or don’t you? If not why?

I always do, killing with a bow is hard and everything is a trophy. They all get printed out and into my hunting photo album.

I do the same as I would with a buck. But mostly just the first one for the contest. After the first doe I usually don't, they all look the same. This was this years doe. 20230926_203337.jpg

I do as well, just haven’t gotten to do it this year yet. Sometimes does are harder to kill that bucks.

I usually don't but if I manage to murder that neighborhood watch nanny doe I'll definitely take her picture.

Heck, I might have that old heifer's head mounted just so I can glare at her for the next decade or so. She has really got on my bad side this year.

Some of us are so surprised that we kill anything that we forget... Even with bucks

First deer I've harvested with a bow since 2018. I was extremely grateful to be back out in the woods.

I take pics with does just like I would with a buck. We all like to shoot big bucks, but I am a firm believer in taking what nature gives us. Sometimes it's a doe, sometimes it's a buck and sometimes it's nothing but a quiet sit. I remember in the late 80s and early to mid 90s bowhunting was about killing a deer, period. It wasn't until the early 2000s and beyond did start to be more and more about a number. Now, we are seeing guys put a tape on em before they even leave the woods. There are times when they are disappointed after they get the number. If it's not what they expect then they are not happy. Think about for a moment. Let a certain number determine your joy? That is not what Fred bear had in mind when he told us to go afield .....
