Anyone ever use one for bow hunting?

I was cruising CL today and found a tripod for $50. It is in good condition and I have a couple areas I would like to hunt but there are no good trees to hang stands. I could place it to where the seat would be in the edge of trees but, I am just not sure about it. I am not a big fan of blinds just yet in my bow hunting career.

Kernersville, right? Let me know if you don't buy it, I've been wanting to try one for a long time in this one area I hunt, so to answer your post, yes I would try it, that's a great deal, like I said, if you don't want it, let me know. :D

My dads friend has a tripod set up on his land and we have hunted out of it a few times it worked prutty good. Just different. If you do get it you should at least get the base neting to conseal you a bit better

I have hunted a small swampy, marsh area with one. Never had success...heck never even drew back on one, but did have enough encounters with deer to give it a shot. I never took any shots 'cause I was hunting a specific buck who never showed himself during daylight within bow range. If I was set-up on the East side, he would cruise the West side, etc... Probably saw more deer hunting that area than anywhere in my life. It was amazing how many deer bed in that crappy area!!

Thats probably why they did. Humans thought it was crappy so there was no pressure. A safe zone for them.

I have a tripod, but have never killed a deer out of it with my bow, only rifle and pistol. Mine is not very tall, only like 10' tall, so i'm not a big fan of bowhunting out of it

Thats what this one is and I was kind of thinking the height was a little to low.
