I'm a best man for my cousin's wedding this next summer and he wants to go to Vegas for his bachelor party. I for one am not a fan of destination bachelor/bachelorette parties but nothing I can do about it.

Anyhow, we're looking to go sometime from March 7-20.

Looking for some insight on airlines/hotels/packages/days to fly in/out etc.,. and then after we get that figured out, some must see attractions.

Flying out of Sioux Falls or MSP. From what I've looked at so far, Sioux Falls is cheaper.

    Thanks!

Not sure it would matter to you but March madness starts Thursday March 15. I’ve heard it’s a great time to go to a sports book to bet and watch the games.

wife and I went during easter a couple of years ago for the first time, i wasnt really excited to go in the first place, but after the trip I had alot of fun and wouldnt mind going back. we flew spirit as its the cheapest, but also uncomfortable, we told each other after the trip that we would splurge the extra 50-75 bucks a person to fly something alittle more comfy. we stayed at the MGM and it was nice all around, just walked the strip to check things out, beers from vendors on the street are cheaper than casino brews ($7+), i knew going in, beers are spendy. We dont gamble, so we never received the "free" drinks.
Food was great everywhere we tried. I recommend checking out the old strip too, good food and drinks cheaper too there, and entertainment like music and such. I recommend hitting up your hotels pool, atleast ours had a pretty large pool area and the scenery was :tu:. If you're doing some of the traditional bachelor party events, you'll find plenty of naked lady cards and billboards and even on the strip advertising; have fun!

They torn down O Shays the crap hole that was accost the street from ceasers, It was a dump with a midget running around pouring shots down peoples throat, it was great fun to go there and play craps and tell the midget to f off when he wanted to give you a shot. Then again that was a long time ago. Go see hoover dam.

Well after they get drunk and lose all their cash to strippers and gambling the Hoover Dam is free.

"a little more comfy" is meaningless when flying cattle class!

I think it's the Casino Royale that sells Fireball shots for $2 a piece and $1 beer promotions.

Personal experience... If a random guy comes up to you and asks if you and your buddies want to go on a party bus, don't do it. I mean, he bought us all a few rounds of drinks before the bus got there and then the night turned into The Hangover 4. Got on the bus and was immediately greeted by naked women. The bus took us to 2 strip clubs 20 miles from our hotel and we somehow found a ride back in a limo at 5am the next day. The first and last time I will ever be to a strip club. Every credit/debit card I had was put on hold after that night.

Basically any of the hotels on the strip are nice. Make sure you get a buffet one time. I never pay attention to what airline I'm flying, just find the cheapest non-stop flight that is most convenient.

The Hoover Dam is basically a day trip that requires a car rental or tour.

Allegiant out of Sioux Falls is the cheapest I've seen so far. Otherwise it was Spirit out of MSP. Both non-stop flights.

My sister in law and her cousin have gone a few times and have always flown Spirit. About the same review as you but never any real issues.

Americans are getting bigger but the airlines are putting in smaller seats and closer together. Even as short as I am, there is no leg room. I feel like that 2x4 every time I have to travel.

I was there for my bachelor party last year. We all flew southwest airlines from Pitt.. they had the best prices by far for round trip.. Spirit was close but they constantly delay out of Pitt so we chose to stick with SW. One big thing we did was call around to the different hotels and tell them we were coming out for a bachelor party. We ended up getting a 2000 square foot suite in the Aria for just about what it would have cost to get all separate rooms. I think this was by far our biggest win.. most hotels were willing to work with you in some way or another. With the suite came a limo service, a great concierge service helping us set up everything from dinners to telling us where the best places for the best prices for what we wanted to do were at that time. One bar we liked to frequent was the Fuel bar over near the Flamingo and Ballys. It was probably the tiniest bar we went to while in Vegas but they treated us the best. Like some others said, dont buy into the randoms trying to get you guys to buy into something, if you want to do it you will figure it out on your own and you will save a ton of money that way.

One thing we failed to do was buy alcohol for the room. The prices for a case of beer were not all that different compared to back home, we just failed to get it done.. That would have saved a ton of money being able to drink a little bit in the suite with our own beer before we would head out. We just kept getting room service to bring a bunch of pounders up.. not the most fiscal decision.

The big time restaurants were good and were pretty cool to do with the group. Make sure to figure out what restaurants you want to hit early and make reservations or have the concierge do it for you.

If you guys think you want to head to any clubs you can PM me.. I have some worth while info and insight into that.. Wet Republic was by far the best overall experience we had on the whole trip and we were able to get a table right next to the DJ booth.

Vegas is a tight nit community, if you meet the right person and throw them a nice tip, it can open a ton of doors. As far as I am concerned cash is King and treating the people that work with you right can make or break your trip, especially for a bachelor party. It was amazing how a little cash up front saved us in the end. Be smart about it, you will know when you run into the right person... they wont be trying to sale you anything.

We flew in on a Wednesday and flew home on Monday.. that seemed to save us a good amount of money but by Monday we could barely function.

    Have fun!

Go in mid to late March to ensure the pools and weather are in full swing.
