I am trying a supercap in parallel with batteries on my old $40 wildview from menards.
Measured battery voltage droop during flash, dropped the C's to 3.5 volts, added 1F Aerogel supercap from digikey and cut that in half. Think a 0.1F would have done better due to lower internal resistance, but didn't have 1 to try.

My 7 days of battery life is currently at 2 weeks, we'll see when it dies. (been using this cam for 6 years)

Too smart for me. But good job for figuring it out.

    Instructions for 6V camera's
    1. Buy this=

    2. Open your camera up and solder across battery terminals (on battery side of power switch!) and tuck away so you can close the camera back up.

For 9 volt cameras, use 2 in series.

I've tried on my old wildview 1MP, extended the typically battery life considerably, roughly a factor of 2, due to the fact that it lets you discharge your battery deeper.

I think that is will improve cold temperature performance, so I'm going to install this into my moultrie D-50 flash (which stops working when it is cold and basically sucks in general).
