    Yeah put up some stands inside that wood edge if you can, like was said 30 yards or so.

    to the point of a tripod stand out in the corn field, unless the farmer is cool with you knocking down standing corn I would think that option would be out. And if he is ok with you knocking down some corn I would go the route of a ground blind blended into the corn field. Just make sure you know when he is going to harvest so you can go get it out before the combine takes care of that for you.

    The farmer basically just doesn't want us cutting down any large trees, we can do just about anything else. There are some high grasses that border that field in another section that I was going to put a pallet ground blind and weed whack some trails and shooting lanes to the edge of the where there is a hard hit trail leading past a crab apple tree...

    Around here bucks only seem to frequent fields after shooting hours. Whether it's standing or cut corn or just grass. I'm pretty successful at being deeper in the woods.
