Us Michiganders have a little experience with a similar situation, that of Steve Fisher. Fisher was loved by all his players, viewed as a great mentor, and respected in the coaching circle. The start of his downfall was similar to Tressel's, he didn't ask enough questions. He started to ignore red flags. Fisher never lied or covered anything up, but like Tressel, he probably started to see somethings that weren't quite right.
Remember how Michigan handled it, we fired Fisher within the week, vacated all the wins ourselves and took down the banners. This put Michigan Basketball in a ten year tail spin. We are just now recovering from this mess. We got 1 year post season ban and lost of 1 Scholly for four years. I happen to know of Mr. Martin and what he did, he was a interesting dude.
