While I think this is a cool device I think they have the potential to even take this one step further in the near future. A lot of phones currently come with an accelerometer and you could have the phone determine whether or not you fell. This negates the need for a possibly unconscious person to have to send a text. All you'd have to do is turn the program on as you climb and then if something happens it would automatically send the text. You could always still include an option to turn it off if for instance, the phone was dropped by accident. Good idea though, tree safety is super important.
I though this was going to be a thread about not bringing your smart phone to your stand because it may distract and cause you to fall Cool app but I cant find it with my iPhone.
Cool app but again another one that isn't available for Windows phones. Starting to really hate this phone.
