Treestand platform carpet/new fasteners?

    1.) Do any of you guys cover your treestand platform with indoor/outdoor carpet?

    One of my friends has always done this.

    2.) Do any of you replace the fasteners in your treestands?

    I am putting new fasteners in one of my stands. They were not in that bad of shape, but I think it is time. Grade 5 from the factory, I am installing Grade 8's.

    i only do it when it gets cold, just to keep me from metal contact with my boots....
