I hunted out of a few stands this year that were 8-10 feet off the ground and killed a deer out of one. My highest stand this year was around 24 feet.

I generally hunt no lower than 16' it all depends on the cover this also gives me a good shot into the vital area.

like everyone else said, it depends on the situation. i usually hunt from 20-30 feet as my average. i prefer higher than lower, it seems to allow you to get away with more

Like everyone, it depends on the cover. I generally hunt pretty high, lowest being 20-25ft. I have this thing where I always feel like I'll get spotted, even with good cover. My stand I took my buck from last year was about 32ft. Nose bleed section lol

Depends on the area. Most of the time I'm between 17' and 25'. I have been known to get up to 30'+ on occasion.

I actually prefer to hunt off of platform stands that are usually about 8-12 ft off of the ground, my ladder stand is 16' and will usually go up about 15-20' with my climber. I also am not too comfortable with getting up there too high. I guess it really depends on how high the ground cover is.

Most times I'm about 18' or so but it depends on the situation. I've hunted as low as 10' but prefer higher.

I go 15 to 20 feet and no higher. My favorite tree for as lock on is a hemlock due to the strong limbs and good cover. I use quite a few lock ons now and have gone to ladder sticks as the preferred way to get up and down quietly. I have one Summit Viper climber that I use on occasion.

I put up most of my stands 15 - 20 feet depending on cover. dont feel the need to be any higher then 20. I hunt in mature hardwoods surrounded by farm land. My feeling is if you have to go higher then 20 feet your moving too much or you dont know how to control your odor. jmo
