There's a bigger chance of this happening [IMG] then this [IMG].

I do have camo rain gear as well... as for walking to the stand with an umbrella... that's funny! i'd piss myself if i saw a hunter walking out to his stand that way.. :)

Of course i'm picturing a hunter with a brightly colored umbrella sneaking thru the woods.. HAHAHa

I bought one a couple years ago and it broke the first time i used it, probably because i bought the cheaper one. Have not replaced it yet but there have been times i wish i had one.

In high winds they're about worthless. I've had mine flip up on me a few times. As I've gotten old I think I've gotten smarter and if it's rainy AND windy I'll either stay home or hit the ground blind. Being wet and cold in a tree is no longer my idea of fun.

I've sat under mine during heavy rains... then once the rain stopped had three bucks all walk with in 5-25 yards of my stand without being bothered by the "blob". All three were younger so given the pass...

I am going to have to look into getting me one. I wear rain gear, but it doesn't protect my equipment.

I have one as well and use it when I need to. I have had it spook deer when it's windy but other than that it's great to have.

Had my bro pick one up for me a couples weeks ago. I'll be packing it in the truck tonight for the trip to IL. tomorrow. I don't have any rain gear at all. Million Dollar Question : Will this thing keep me good and dry or should I still stop at Gander and pick up some rain gear????

depends on the wind.... wind blown rain will still get you... but if theres no.. to slight breaze... the umbrella will keep ya dry.. 90%.. feet lower legs might get a bit...

have had one for a number of years and they make a difference. But it won't keep you 100% covered just a majority of rain, wind and snow. It's never bothered the deer.
