Im sitting here in my tree listing to the rain patiently waiting for day light! Im snug as a bug in a rug and dry. I start thinking, i wonder how many choose to sleep in on days like this instead of being out there because its raining! Im sitting under a tree umbrella, as well as my video equipment! Guys/gals if you havent tried a tree umbrella your seriously missing out on some great days for Deer activity! Who has one and loves it? Who dosent but will get one after reading this post ? :)

Luckily, over the years I actually haven't had to use it very much. Oct & Nov around here are usually dry as a rule. Boy it comes in handy though when I do need to. Nothing worse than getting soaked, especially when its cold.

I have one but it's tucked away in a storage container somewhere(I think I know which one) never needed it when I got it and I just put it away and forgot about it. I definitely need to dig it out and use it.

I have one and install it right along with my hooks, everytime i set up my stand.. I open and leave it open the entire time.. Been out on some really heavy rainy days.. stayed nice a dry.. last year was out in the rain, as soon as the storm passed rattled in three bucks.. a spike, a three point and a 4 point... So worth the 14 dollars I spent on it!

I have used mine alot. I think its funny how something like the umbrella that actually works and is worth its weight in gold is one of the cheaper things Ive bought for hunting. I also use it on the ground in front of me as a blind for spring turkey hunting.

Is there a specific brand that yours is Crick? I see an "Allen" one on amazon...

Do you set yours at standing height?

I had one and gave it away. I quit hunting with a bow in the rain because of being on too many lost blood trails. I would always see lots of deer activity, but the blood trail is often the only way you will find the deer and I just cant bring myself to shoot them in the rain knowing that the trail will be lost.
