I have used the bear claw previously mentioned - I use 6 of them. I also have a lock on my tree stands. Once I started this I have not lost a stand or steps. The bear claw a light, super easy to install and remove - you only need one set of 4 to 6 for all your stands. The lug bolts that the steps hang off of can be installed by a battery operated nut driver - you don't need to drill then tap in.
