I've still got a Summit Viper and Cobra which I'm letting my Dad use as I get him started in bowhunting with me... I use a Lone Wolf Alpha Hand Climber and wouldn't dream of using anything else at this point. By the way of fixed positions, I've got four Summit Copperheads, a couple of Summit's larger fixed-position ones that I forget the name of right now (and I'm missing one of those, for some reason...), a Lone Wolf Alpha Hang-on and four sticks, and about 10 stands from Dic k's Sporting Goods that were about $35 apiece plus several sets of sticks that I put up well in advance of the season that I don't worry as much about if they get stolen. I've got about five other assorted hang-ons that I've accumulated from various and sundry places like farmer's co-ops that were fairly cheap as well but serve their purpose.
Summit Viper bottom section with a Summit Open Shot top section. The Open Shot base was to small for me but I like the seat and openness of the Open Shot top section.
I have a few Gorillas, big game treestands and a rivers edge I use these when I need to leave something up somewhere. But when I am running and gunning or packing in somewhere I use my Lone Wolf Alpha and sticks quality is second to none.
i have one climb up one hang on and one elevated stand and we made all three the only thing i bought we didnt build is a double bull dark horse ground blind
I use the sportsmans guide stick/stand combos, for most of my fixed, my portable is my Nontypical and rapid rails, I have a tree lounge that is actually set up as a fixed, then a couple off brands I picked up here and there..
I have (takes deep breath) Hang ons: 5 Gander Mountain Deluxes 3 Gorilla Baby Kongs 2 Ol Man Roosts 1 Field and Stream piece of **** 1 Lone Wolf Alpha Assault Climbers: Ol Man (primary) Api Grand Slam Bowhunter (use base in one hang on set and seat in another) And two ladders (don't know the brand) that I put out for my father in law. The Ol Man hang ons are the most comfortable. The Gander Mountains are roomy, but heavy. (makes no difference to me as they are up in the same tree most of the season) The Gorilla's are the ones I have had the longest, they have held up well. The Alpha Assault is new. I didn't hang any double sets this year for filming and was able to have more pre hung spots. The idea is that if I have a cameraman, I'll pack in the LW as it is light and seemingly easy to set up.
I have a pile of cheapo lock ons, and ladders that stay out year round, probably 10 or so. For mobile lock ons, I have a pair of Loggy Predator Pro's, and an older LW that is similar to todays current Assault. For a climber, I've got a Lone Wolf Sit and Climb that is wearing a Summit seat on it (lots more comfortable and durable).
Gorilla Kong HX is a great hang on stand. For climbing I like the Ameristep brand as far as quality and design is concerned.
I use a Gorilla Climbing stand, assorted cheapo lock-ons with tree steps, and a Big Game Hunter ladder stand
