I guess Im not like others. I will use about any treestand I find that is on sale. Im not sure what brands I all have but I have about 10 hang ons. I leave them up year around for the most part. I go out and check them every once in a while to make sure that they are still able to be used. To me a tree stand is a tree stand. I like to be comfortable but if I get to comfortable I will end up falling asleep. I have a two climbers but I seldom use them unless I find a new property and want to get in for a quick hunt. I guess as long as they dont creak when I move around on them ill use it.
Have 5 hang-ons, 3 ladder stands, and one elevated blind. I buy whatever I can afford when I need (want) another. Some are light weight and are the ones I move when one needs moved and the others are heavy and pretty much permanent.
Lone Wolf - Alpha and Assault for my son and I Gorilla hang on of some kind I use with Sportsmans Guide sticks in my yard $40.00 for all of it off of www.quanticoyardsales.com
I use Sportsmans Guide and Big Dog cheapo hang ons. I usually leave sets out from July-January, so I don't want to leave expensive stuff out there to be stolen/weathered that harshly. For mobile sets, I have two loggy predator pros and a set of 5 muddy sticks.
It's a mixture of store bought (i.e. GM and D*ck's) as well as an older school ladder stand, two older steal climbers converted to hang-ons (they're awesome as hang-ons...not so much as climbers:D). My most recent purchase was a Boss Lite hang-on. My climber is an API GS Supreme.
Climber.........Lone Wolf sit-n-climb Hangons..............API, Loggy Bayou Predator, Gorilla, Remington, Lock-On Lone Wolf climbing sticks, Cranford Ezy Climb steps and a couple sets of steel climbing sticks.
