i was thinking about buying a few hang on tree stands with that in mind, would buying a telescoping ladder be more $$ efficient over sticks? can only climb and sit in one set at a time so buy multiple sets of sticks or one telescoping ladder to fit all the stands? UPDATE* i added 3 marksman economy treestands, and 1 telescoping ladder to my cart and it was ONLY 116 dollars for the total, sound worth it? http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref...rds=telescoping+ladder&ie=UTF8&qid=1348350520
Thank You, just thought it might be "innovative" to save money and increase stand locations for those on a budget. Thank you again!
I only use ladders on State public land. I have a Rivers Edge with removable wheels. I too have thought about retrofitting the telescopic or the folding ladders. I found a few on Google made in China I think but none in the US. Here's one. And another. Be sure to check out this thread about tree stands. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?38446-Climbing-Treestand-vs-Hang-On-Treestand-w-Sticks
alot of good info, thanks for the two links. i like the way thats set up as well, i was thinking tho using one of the telescoping ladders from amazon, and lean it against the tree with a ratchet or bungee just around the top of the ladder, that way all i would have to carry in is just the ladder. (comes with a handy bag) or can create your own "sling" for it. i kind of got the idea from the hunter elite system (way over priced, especially for the diy kind of guy) again thank you very much for your response
