I'm planning on going strictly climber this year and I'd like a pack style carrier like the WOlf Pack by Lone Wolf. But $119 is steep, do you guys know of anything comparable that would be a little cheaper?

I checked the link and the item looks good; and I noticed it will not be available until May 2009. I went to cabelas and read the reviews and it got horrible reviews. Jeff, any inside info. that would indicate these reviews are incorrect? I'm going to try and contact the company and see what they say. Granted it's half price of the lone wolf and I like that, but do you think this is gonna be one of those get what you pay for deals?

I looked at the GamePlan pack when I was at the ATA show and was impressed with them. I was planning on getting one this year but now may be leaning towards the Lone Wolf pack.

I wish I would of seen it at the show and checked it out.

This might just work for me instead and I would save plenty of cash:

I might just have to get both and put them both to the test.

I agree with Jeff and for me it's mental. I'm not going to say I'm lazy "per se" but I don't want any excuses to not use the climber this year on almost every sit because I'm really bad about hanging a stand and not moving until the next season. I can't imagine how many deer I didn't see because I didn't have time to move a stand. I will still hang prob. 10 stands for my Dad and G/F this season, but I will not hunt them unless I'm super short on time. The thing that I like about the Wolf Pack over the other system is the buckle removal.

JFerg - How does the Gameplan pack attach to the stand?

I just spoke with Mike the owner of Gameplan Gear. He said some big changes are coming on the new version of the treestand trans system. They will be available in the next few months but he is going to get me one so I can do a review for this site. I will post her when that review gets posted.

Jferg that's excellent news. I'm going to pull the trigger on one of the two here in the next couple months. I will keep a keen eye out for our review. If I call Gamplan myself to ask some questions, who should I ask for? I'll assume customer service.

That is who I would ask for. I probably won't have the demo for several weeks because he is just getting them from the manufacturer as we speak.

NCcrittergitter, not sure if this is just what your looking for, but I think it is, and it is a lot less expensive at 19.97. Only problem it that they are sold out right now. If your not in any hurry, you might want to call them to see if they know when they will get them again. Here is a link to see what it looks like. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=470978
