If I had to guess after all these years, I know the highest, it's the one we called "Sky Box" only because of it's height, a loc on at 35' because of the slope of the land... and the lowest, other than ground level, 12'... ?

I've killed them from the ground, as low as 8' (out of necessity, but this particular tree provides great cover/break-up) and most of my stands are set around 16'.. heights freak me out a little :D

Highest Ive been was about 28' on a tree where you reall had to get up high to get out of sight. I hunt out of a ground blind quite a bit, but I havent killed a deer out of it yet. Only turkeys and a coyote. Lowest stand I killed a deer out of was an old wooden ladder stand about 10' up.

My Lowest stand was around 8' due to many overhanging branches (killed my biggest buck to date from that one)

My highest was probably around 20'

Normally my stands are around 16'-18'

Lowest - 3rd rung of ladder stand (she came around a bend while I was climbing up. Not the safest thing to do, and I would not recommend to anyone else.

Highest - I have a tree stand that is approximately 40' off the ground which is perfect for deer that come over the hilltop as they are eye level.

ive killed them from the ground.. lowest was 15' and highest was this year im using a climber and up probably 30-35 havent killed a deer from it yet but ive had a bunch just mill around below me and i can get away with alot of movement up there. my suggestion is if you are going for a monster smart one .. get up where he has a super slim chance of seeing you and get your scent as far off of the ground as possible. BUT ALWAYS USE YOUR SAFETY HARNESS! :)

10' lowest, 15' highest. but the 15' is on a series of ridges 6'wide that drop 5' at a time. Deer walk all of them.

I knew a guy that went close to 400 pounds and was scared to death of heights. Had a wooden platform at six feet. He had a 4 point spot him and turn and walk away so he grunted at it. It turn around and walked up to his stand and he drilled it.
My stands are anywhere from 18' ladder to my climber I've had up to about nosebleed height. It depends on my cover and shooting lanes.
