So i wanted to get some thoughts on what may have happened to one of my stand sites. I have been baitin this particular spot for about two months with apples and right away had between 8-10 doe and about 6 or 7 fawns for the first month or so of checking my camera. After that first month some bucks started showing up (a nice 6 or small 8 and 2 or 3 spikes or small 4 pointers)and finally a small bear about 150lbs came once. Im not sure but seemed like all the deer started coming less and less after the bear showed up the first time. Now i get maybe 1 deer a week one it and nothing is touching the apples. Im pretty careful with my scent and using the wind to my advantage so any thoughts on what might have happened? Theres a couple pics of what was comin in i only had a couple of them

Depending on where you're located, deer tend to be magnetized to the acorns when they fall around here. Get out off your bait site and do some scouting for sign in your area. Move your cameras around until you find the deer and quit relying on your bait to do all the work.

What about hunting over beans this time of year? Most plants are dried.

There is quite a few oak trees in my area. Not right in my stand site but within a 100yds or so but i may just move right to the acorns if i dont see the deer come back soon. The reason i picked the spot is there is a stream there and between their bedding area and the main grazing fields it is the only water source they have. So i dont rely on my bait, the bait is only there to bring them within my range because they have been spreading out so far along the stream. Dont be so critical sayin im relying on bait i realize bait will only get you so far thats why i find the deer first and then bait to keep them coming. I just thought it was strange i had such good deer traffic then it just dropped

My guess is that there is another food source keeping them away from your baits.
