I have an older ladder stand that is just a platform on top. Have used a padded bucket to sit on, but, as I get older, I'm afraid the popping and cracking from my knees when I stand up will scare away the deer, LOL!
I'm looking for a seat that attaches to the tree and wondered if you guys have any recommendations.
    Thanks!

There are tons of Tree Seats, NOTE: They all say they are for ground use only.
I've thought about using one in the past, all tree stands to me seem to have the seats to low. I would like them all to be a couple inches taller, more like a low bar stool, so you really don't need to stand, rather just straighten up.

I had the same thought about the barstool. I'm hoping the disclaimer is more about liability (CYA) than product design. If my feet touch the stand's platform, should be the same as the ground ... but w/a harness.

I have done it for years. I have an old school hang-on stand that is just the platform, no seat. I bought the summit tree-chair and it woks just fine.

The millenium is a bit harder to get out of.

Made one this afternoon. I used a HSS tree harness rope with a prussic knot, to make it easier to adjust. I also used a screw in tree step behind the tree to keep the rope from slipping down. Thinking of actually using this on opening day with my leaf suit on.
