Tree is too big for safety harness

    Do any of you have suggestions or experience...we have a tree that is too large to fit the safety harness all the way around. Any advice is appreciated!

    Just take a piece of rope that is rated for your weight and tie it in the tree and use it instead of the strap. You could just leave it there for when you come back. Hope this helps.

    I agree with the above. You can safely (and cheaply) make your own. Just check the ratings for the rope you buy.

    The prusik knot is the hardest part... and it's not hard at all. :D

    Shouldn't be hard to find a rope rated to hold 80lbs for you! :)
