Did I cry about being stereotyped as a racist??? I stated that many people won't speak up because they are trying to stay PC, when this really isn't about race, but the media made it that way with creative editting. Am I a conservative??? Again Vito, at what point can a CCW carrier use their weapon??? No one else has answered, only bashed me, and labelled me, yet they don't have an intelligent answer. And if GZ is convicted, what happens to our "Right to Self Defense???"

Read the reports, he's on the ground with the attacker on top of him beating him about the head screaming for help, heard scream for help 14 times on the 911 call before he finally is able to get his weapon and shoot the attacker. Sounds as solid for self-defense as I've ever heard, yet he's brought up on charges.

Looking for info, I will admit, I do not have a CCW, and haven't really even considered it, but my understanding is that you can legally use that weapon if under attack.... Any of you guys have info on this...???

 

Actually, from what I have read, the vast majority said he should have stayed in the car as instructed, but then, you know seem to think you know what everyone would do better than they know themselves.

 

None of us know what we would do until we were in that situation....

 

And you wouldn't check someone out that seemed a little suspicous in your neighborhood??? I think you already said you have didn't you??? Sure everyone is going to say he should have stayed in the car after the fact. But had Martin not came back after him, then he'd still be alive today. Who's going to fault a guy for trying to ID and keep track of a suspicous person in his neighborhood that has been having issues with crime??? Damn, from now on, just mind your own business, don't bother the criminals, as they may attack you and then you have to shoot them to defend yourself and then get sent to jail.... That's a heck of a precidence we're setting. GZ did nothing crminal, Martin, in his attacking GZ, DID commit a crime!!!

 

I said I have checked out vehicles that are parked near my house ( I live on a dead end near woods) or people walking back and forth in front of my house, or partying in the woods across from my house and I do all of that unarmed! Imagine that. I should probably strap on a couple pistols and carry a shotgun and then follow the people when they are walking away from me.

Yeah, people walking home from the store with their hood on while it is raining are always suspicious.

GZ's story is seeming more and more legitimate for those who have chosen to "wait to hear the evidence before casting judgment." I am guessing there will be more coming and the charges will eventually be either dismissed or downgraded. Of course then comes the riots and the looting... yata yata yata.

 

He seemed pretty suspicious when he came back after GZ and attacked him.... Maybe he was down in the dumps because the "Dime" he had on him wouldn't get him a "Dime-bag," so he thought he'd beat someone and rob them to get some $$$ so he could buy more dope??? All speculation on YOUR part Bruce, the witnesses, and police reports support GZ's story, he didn't use his weapon until he was under attack, and then only after calling out for help numerous times, and not yielding any results he resorted to using his gun as the attacker (per his report) also went for it.

And after that person loses you and you're on your way back to your car, if they attack you, at what point are you allowed to defend yourself???
