According the the lastest report, Trayvon Martin tested positive for THC, enough that he would be considered "impaired" in many states. His autopsy report also shows that the GSW was likely from between 1" and 18", further supporting GZ's story that he shot him while Martin was on top of him beating on him. Also witnesses stories support the same, and the 911 call made by a witness during the altercation has GZ calling for help 14 times before the "pop" can be heard. Sure sounds like a pretty clear case for self-defense.

Sadly, a kid is still dead, but the least we can hope for is the true VICTIM (George Zimmerman) can have the TRUE story come out and be vindicated in the eyes of the public, so he can resume some sort of a normal life again. Calling for help 14 times after being attacked before he finally made that choice to end the life of his attacker to preserve his own life and health seems pretty reasonable. And again, it's a case where WE, as gun owners, should be supporting him in his LEGAL use of his weapon to DEFEND himself in a situation where had he not been armed, he may likely have been even more injured and even possible maimed or killed.

THC does not lead to violence, it would have been better for the GZ Defense if he had alcohol in his system. I truly see minimal gain from exploiting the THC, especially when the amount in his system was likely from several days before the incident and not a contributing factor.

No, but it DOES lead to poor decision making, a bit of paranoia in many people, and a depressive state after the "buzz" is gone. A positive blood test would indicate either use within the last 12-24 hours, or chronic use, neither of which bodes well considering that Martin was already on suspension from school for having a baggies with marijuana residue and a presumed "marijuana pipe" at school.

THC didn't make GZ get out of his car. That was a poor decision too.

I also agree zimmerman is not guilty of murder and was acting in self defense when he shot. I ask my self if other methods of self defense such as fighting back could have avoided the shooting.
This young man was not the innocent boy the media and others have played him out to be. Nor do I think Zimmermans actions alone are the cause for the shooting,
Granted Zimmerman made the decision to check him out and follow him even after 911 advised him not to do so. But at some point zimmerman decided to stop and return i guess back toward his vehicle(?) . If this is the case (which has been reported) then it was at that time that Martin decided to engage Zimmerman rather than just go on his way. Up until this point it seems no violence or physical confrontation had taken place. So I have to ask ....did Martin initate the physical confrontation??

None of us were there. I like everyone else have based my opinions on what i have read and evidence released .
And we all are entitled to our own opinions.
In no way do i feel that Martin deserved to die.......yet i also feel Zimmerman does not deserve to be charged with murder.
To me there is sufficiant reasonbale doubt for him to be found not guilty.

I guess we all can question if Zimmerman had to shoot him.........could he have just fought back or just let Martin kick his butt.
But isnt the idea behind concealed carry self defense? Which makes me ask where you would draw the line at using the fire arm or not?

Before you say that, put yourself in his shoes... If you have a run of break-ins in your neighborhood, and your bow, a couple guns, and a treestand are stolen, are you gonna check someone out if they're "acting suspicious" in your "hood?" I know I'm checking them out, as I feel I have a responsibility to try to protect my family, and my elderly neighbors from people with bad intentions. Not too much unlike GZ, I'd have very likely tried to ID this kid if I thought he was acting suspicious.

So say you do decide to check someone out, and then they take off running.... What does that do to your suspicions???

GZ was trying to be a good neighbor, and look out for his community, and for his efforts, he's been painted into a corner and labelled a criminal and murderer when in essence he's not unlike MOST of us. Except that many of us may have pulled our weapon before our 14th cry for help to stop that attacker from continuing to beat our face in. I know if I were on the ground, in the position he was in and unable to defend myself, my actions would have been the same as his, except the weapon would have been used more quickly, especially if he was blind-sided as he indicated.

New evidence comes out supporting the GUN OWNER!!! Then it seems reasonable to make that evidence available to help clear up the muddied waters doesn't it.

Really to me, this is far more about GUN OWNERS' RIGHTS, and a man's RIGHT to Self Defense, and if GZ punished for defending himself, then what precedence does that set for the rest of us??? Might as well not have a CCW license, because it means NOTHING if you can't shoot an attacker when he is on top of you beating your face in!!!

It's more many of you are seeing it as. How many here have a CCW??? IF you don't think GZ acted lawfully, then you should just go turn in your CCW license, and start carrying mace or a taser!!!

Is George your brother? We all know whats been reported, you've posted links to every time GZ has sharted since this happened. Seriously man, Zimmerman will get his day in court. But there is no denying that GZ got out of his car looking for trouble....and found it. Thats on him.

No reason for this to get locked if people can just "debate" or discuss their opinions

Wrong, it's about more than that, and that's part of why I insinuated that some here are ignorant. This is about Gun Rights, and the Right to Self Defense. If you have a CCW, tell me WHEN you are legally authorized to use that weapon??? IF this isn't a classic case of a person LEGALLY using his weapon when he was a LEGAL CCW carrier, then EVERY person who has a CCW license should just throw it away and buy mace or a taser. It's far more than many of you are seeing. No charges ever should have been filed with the evidence of this case, and GZ should not have to worry about having his day in court, he should be heralded as a hero who while trying to keep his neighborhood safe, used his CCW in a legal manner to protect himself. Unfortunately, the media has biased the opinons of MANY of the SHEEPLE in this country, and created a race issue out of it, which further blinded the PC SHEEPLE especially, and made far more of an issue that it should have been. Those who want to have a trial, obviously don't understand the U.S. Constitution and it's legal definition of Self-Defense. Many are using it as a grandstanding opportunity, whether right or wrong, they are looking to bolster some votes in November, and could care less what happens after they "earn" their votes.

Sadly Bruce, you must be in favor of giving up your guns and your right to self-defense.... Because if GZ is prosecuted then we may as well just turn in our guns and become pacifists. The criminals out there sure would like that!!!

And no, I'm not the only one, it's just that several of the others just haven't chimed in, and probably in part because of the backlash that many of those on the other (wrong) side are attacking with.

So you cry about being stereotyped as a racist because you believe GZ was innocent, yet you have no problem assuming people are liberal wussies brained washed by the media because they think he's guilty?

You sound like a brainwashed conservative. What time is your slumber party with Uncle Ted? Are the FEDs invited?

Not at all, I'll garner no votes, unless it's going to be in "Hustler's A-hole of the Month Club." I'm just seeing this for more than racial profiling, and more than GZ making a "bad decision," because in all honesty, he didn't act much differently than many of us did, even in the shooting of the attacker who was on top of him, yet he is being prosecuted for it. His actions were within the legal guidelines of our constitution in defending himself, and if he is prosecuted for this, then what happens to yours and my right to self defense. HE used his CCW in an APPROPRIATE manner to shoot and kill an attacker to DEFEND himself, so if he is prosecuted for that, then what is anyone's CCW license really good for???
